Two Weeks, Two Dates #53

Two Weeks, Two Dates is a fiction coming from the pens of two WordPressers, Ricardo Elisiário and Shaktiki Sharma, together contributing on a weekly basis.

(Klara is taken aback. Her mother pushes her away before Klara could even reach her. The officer approaches them and signals her parents to stay back.)

“Mam, where were you last night?”

“What do you mean?”

(Klara gives her parents a concerned look.)

What does he know? Nothing substantially happened last night.

“Your parents have confirmed that you often visit their beach house on the outskirts. When did you last go there?

(Klara skips a breath and looks at her parents again and her eyes zig-zag between the officer’s face and her mother’s.)

“Why are you asking all this, officer?”

(She tries to act confident. But her pale face and scared eyes are enough to give away.)

“Mam, you need to come with me…”
